In many places around the world, aerial play is a natural and integral part of soccer from a young age. However, in the U.S., the focus on aerial skills often doesn't begin until players are older, sometimes as late as 13. This limitation can impact player development and safety.
At 3CP, we believe in training young athletes in the aerial aspects of the game earlier to ensure they master these skills safely and effectively. Our approach aims to enhance your game while minimizing risks like improper landings and concussions.
Mastering aerial skills is crucial for transitioning smoothly from 9v9 to 11v11 play; this can be a game changer. Key components include:
-
Vertical Quickness: Improve your power and speed off the ground.
-
Hip and Core Control: Essential for high knees, accurate footwork, maintaining balance, and landing.
-
Coordination and Timing: Vital for effective heading and overall aerial play.
